Standards
(extract from the webstandards.org site)
The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), with other groups and organisms of standardization, has founded the technologies for the creation and interpretation of contents based on the Web. These technologies, than we call “standard of the Web”, carefully we are planned in order to offer all the advantages of the Web to the greater number of customers and, at the same time, in order to assure long-life to any document published on the Web (we see the lateral menu for greater details).
To plan and to construct these simpler standards second and, reduce the production costs and concur to realize accessible sites to a greater number of persons and devices for the connection to Internet. The developed sites following these lines guide will continue to work correctly also when the browser traditional they will be evolven and new devices for Internet make their income on the market.
All this seems obvious. Qual'è, therefore, the problem? And because exists a Web Standards Project?
Although the main producers of browser have been involved in the creation of the standards Web since the foundation of the W3C, for many years the conformity to such standards has been many times over violata. Realizing browser that they do not support the standards in uniform way, the producers have unreasonable fragmented the Web damaging the designer, the sviluppatori, the customers, like pure the companies manufacturers.
The absence of a uniform support to the standards of the W3C has generated frustration in the customers: using the " browser sbagliato" , many of they could not see the contents or carry out the wished transactions. Between the most penalized they are the disabili and the customers with necessity details.
